My simple Home direcotry backup script

I have a pretty simple disk setup in my desktop. Although I don't have a NAS in my home, or even a redundant RAID array in my desktop, I like to know that my home directory is backed up to at least two other physical disks.

I have a 256GB Samsung 840 Pro as my "System" drive holding my boot, root, home and swap partitions, but I also have two spinny disks (one 500GB and one that is 1TB) in my tower as well, so I wanted to replicate my home directory to each of those drives each night.

I came across this blog post outlining a simple script to backup my home directory, and I modified the script slightly to meet my particular needs, and set up a cron job to run it in the middle of the night.
